Praises for our quality and care
According to US News & World Report and the National Committee for Quality Assurance
(NCQA), Kaiser Permanente is the top-ranked health plan in Colorado when it comes to quality. Even more, we are also the #1 Medicare Plan in the US.
US News & World Report/NCQA compared us head-to-head against hundreds of other health plans, and again this year we came out on top. In fact, in 24 out of 33 measures of quality tested—from heart disease to asthma—we were TOP TEN in the entire United States!
In addition, preventative health care has been Kaiser Permanente’s philosophy from the start. In fact, we received the American Cancer Society and Colorado Business Group on Health’s 2009 Cancer Prevention Excellence Award for offering comprehensive screening services to our members. No other health plan in Colorado was awarded this prestigious distinction.
"My grandmother has been signed up under Kaiser Permanente for years. And, it’s actually one of the models of high-quality, cost-efficient care that’s out there right now, partly because they maintain such a stable base of patients and they construct a whole team approach that has proven to be very effective."
– President Barack Obama
"Kaiser Permanente Colorado’s total approach to population health management and measurement is extremely powerful and intelligent. There is much that Dartmouth, and the nation, can learn from their work."
– Eugene C. Nelson, DSc, MPH,
Director Quality Administration
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center
"We were transferred to Denver in 1969 and took the opportunity to join Kaiser Permanente and haven't looked back. Our satisfaction has served as encouragement to relatives and friends to join the Kaiser Permanente family. We have been especially impressed with the technology. This has contributed to our good health. We also applaud the doctors and nurses who have served us over the years — they are heroes in the health field."
– Darrell and La Vonne Gretz of Lakewood
