Lorna S. Brass, MD
My philosophy when treating patients is two-fold. First: I believe knowledge is power, and I really believe if a patient understands a bit about the disease process, they will be better equipped to manage it. Second: we are partners in care. I cannot dictate a therapy without the understanding and cooperation of my patient. My patients want to make their own decisions about their care and it is my job to provide information and help to facilitate that. I came to Colorado, like many, for the beautiful views and great activities. I have worked at Kaiser Permanente for 19 years, being active in various roles, including Regional Department Chair for the past five years.
On the personal side, I like to dabble in all sorts of crafts from stained glass to jewelry making. I am also and avid quilter. I am an occasional volunteer at Habitat for Humanity and occasionally work for a political candidate.
